Its aims are to promote the study and dissemination of Analytical Psychology, to require the maintenance of high standards of training, practice and ethical conduct, and to hold congresses. There are many member groups, including groups for many US cities and the InterRegional Society of Jungian Analysts (formed 25 years ago to serve communities 'between' the US cities that have institutes) which has approximately 150 analyst members and 40 candidates.
